BRAY, BRIAN, 45 of Louisville, passed away Monday, June 25, 2012 after a six and a half year courageous battle with cancer.
He was a law enforcement worker, a loading dock worker he also worked at Toys- R-Us and Coyotes. Brian was very much involved with fund raising for the Special Olympics, which included things such as the Law Enforcement Torch Run, Mid America Truck Show raising money for the Harley, he was the Polar Bear Plunge King for four years and participated in Cops on Top. Brian also had a special place in his heart for the St. Joseph's kids at the orphanage. He would do a yearly U of L tailgate to benefit the kids, this would include two annual bus trips to U of L away games, he was also an avid U of L fan.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Ann Bray.
He is survived by his children, Blake and Shelby Bray; father, Fred Bray; sister, Bernadine Logsdon and brother, Wayne Bray; as well as several nieces and nephews.
His funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Denis Catholic Church, 4205 Cane Run Road at 10 a.m. Friday with burial to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be Thursday from 11 a.m.-8 p.m. at the Heady-Hardy Funeral Home 7710 Dixie Hwy.
In lieu of flowers donations may go to the Special Olympics.
