Cheryl Barnes

BARNES, CHERYL LYNN CHRISTOPHER, 64, of Louisville, passed away Sunday, October 6, 2013 at her home with her family by her side. For the past 19 years, Cheryl was vice president and owner of Chris, Inc. Prior to her position with Chris, Inc., she spent 20 years in quality control for General Electric. She earned her master's degree at Spalding University, served in the U.S. Coast Guard Reserve and was a member of the Church of the Epiphany. Cheryl was preceded in death by her father, Robert Ray Christopher. She is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, Jerry Lee Barnes; sons, Christopher Ridge (Denise), Aaron Barnes (Jessica), Jerry Barnes, Jr. (Pam) and Eric Barnes (Stacey); daughter, Barbara Bloink (Jimmie); mother, Martha Jane Bacon Christopher; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandson. Cheryl's funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Friday, October 11, 2013 at Church of the Epiphany, 914 Old Harrods Creek Road with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 10 a.m.- Noon, 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Ratterman Funeral Home, 12900 Shelbyville Road, East Louisville.
