Dallas Burke

Dallas E. "Dale" Burke, 79, loving husband to Frances Therese Mudd Burke, passed away at home on Thursday June 25, 2015.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Edward and Mary Esther Mattingly Burke. He had ten brothers and sisters.
Dale was a retired school bus driver for Jefferson County Schools, an Army Veteran, a brother of Holy Cross of Notre Dame, a member of St. Rita's Catholic Church. He graduated from Southern High School and St. Edwards University in Austin, Texas. He was a proud eighteen year heart transplant recipient.
Dale was a very caring family man, never complained, never met a stranger. He was in constant support of his children and grandchildren, attending all of their events. He rarely thought of himself, always putting others first. Words he lived by were preach always through your actions and use words when necessary.
Besides his wife of 41 years he is survived by their children; Julie Cook (Jason), Michael and David Burke; two grandchildren, Alex Lanham and Bo Cook.
