GRANT, DAVID M., 93, passed away October 19, 2011.
David was preceded in death by his wife, LaVerne Grant.
He was a World War II veteran and Bronze Star recipient having served in the United States Army as a medic. He was a retired employee of the VA Hospital and a member of the American Legion Post # 220.
David is survived by three daughters, Rita Logsdon (Charles), Pauletta Alexander (Mike) and Annette Fusting (Jim Hudson); two sons, Jerry S. (Joyce) and James Grant; two sisters, Irene Wright and Elva Davenport; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and six stepgrandchildren.
A funeral service celebrating the life of David will be 11 a.m. Monday at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 4400 Dixie Hwy. Visitation will be 1-7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donation be given to Mass of the Air, 508 Breckenridge Lane, Louisville, KY, 40207.
