RICARD, EDNA M. (PERKINS), 78, passed away August 26, 2013 at Baptist Health .
She was a retired certified professional secretary at National City Bank and a member of Mosaic United Methodist Church as well as a volunteer for Shively Area Ministries, auxiliary member of Christian Church Homes, Easter Seals and member and former president of the Women's Auxiliary at St Mary & Elizabeth Hospital She had many dear friends she loved and cherished that brought such joy to her life. She was a diehard U of L fan and it was a dream come true to attend the final four in March with her daughters to watch her team win the national championship.
She was preceded in death by the love of her life and best friend for 48 years her husband Rick; mother Ethel and daughter Terry.
She is survived by two daughters Vicky Elmore ( Ray) and Debby McMahan (Gary), sister Betty Washburn, sister-in-law Sharon Ricard, six grandchildren Craig Ricard, Christy Barton, Justin Braden, Brittany Logsdon, Scott McMahan and Krista Day, seven great-grandchildren Alyssa, Charlie, Isaiah, Jordan, Haylie, Devin and Elijah; special aunt Golda Potter and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Cremation was chosen. Memorial service is Friday at 11 a.m. at her church, Mosaic United Methodist Church, 8008 St. Andrews Church Road, with a gathering of family and friend following the service. Owen Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
It was a her wish that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to her church or one of the charities listed above.
