Glenora Kress

Kress, Glenora (Stapleton),92, of Louisville, went to her heavenly home on Tuesday January 27, 2015. Born in Fleming, KY, she was the seventh of 10 children born to Oliver and Lurlia Mae Stapleton. Her positive and caring ways kept her in a spirit of prayer for everyone she encountered. She enjoyed volunteering at church and working with the youth at First Alliance Church. She was a long-time member of Women's Bible Study Fellowship. She will be sorely missed here by her loving family and friends but she will be in the presence of God her Savior, Jesus Christ, whom she always worshipped, adored, and readily shared with others. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her dear husband of 55 years, Rudolph Kress; and her precious son, David Kress. Mrs. Kress is survived by her daughters, Claudia Bache (Richard) and Christia Shaver (Scott); grandchildren, Rebecca Rouch (Eric), Daniel Bache (Lisa), Brittney Shaver and Joshua Shaver; great grandchildren, Julia, Abigail, Catherine, Anna, Laura, and William; and her loving sister, Josephine Goodwin (Nathan). Her family is thankful for the wonderful care provided by the staff and doctors at Jefferson Manor. Her service will be 1pm Saturday at Owen Funeral Home - Jeffersontown, 9318 Taylorsville Road.
