Elbert, Kenneth Russell "Kenny" View/Sign Guest Book ELBERT, KENNETH RUSSELL "KENNY," 69, loving husband of Patricia Ann (Hodgson) Elbert, passed away Saturday, February 16, 2008. Born in East St. Louis, IL, he was the son of the late Kenneth and Frances Elbert. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Peblo conflict. He had retired from TARC after 32 years of dedicated service and Miller Transportation after 15 years of service. He also spent one year as a part-time shuttle driver for U of L. He was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church, the Suburban Masonic Lodge, Southern Star OES, and Louisville Valley Scottish Rite, was the chairman of the Advisory Board for Lorraine IORG, served on the Advisory Board for Cherokee DeMolay and was District 2 Director of National Camping Travelers/ Derby City Travelers. Other than his wife, he is survived by his children, Karen Bucy (Tony), Jon Elbert (Amanda) and Sarah Klinglesmith (Robert); seven grandchildren; mother-in-law Alice Gognat; and 10 foster children. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy., with burial to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be Monday, 2-9 p.m. and Tuesday, 9 a.m. to the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Camp Braveheart.
