Robert Layman

June 4, 1940 — December 31, 2010

LAYMAN, ROBERT G., 70, of Crestwood, KY, passed away Friday December 31, 2010 at Hosparus Downtown, after a long battle with Glioblastoma.

He was a graduate of duPont Manual High School and was retired from Naval Ordnance Station and United Defense.

He is survived by his wife, Ella Saunders Layman; sons, David Scott Layman (Kim) and Bob Williams (Lorrie); daughter, Cheryl Korfhage (Todd); brothers, Edward and Marty Layman; sister, Shirley Layman; and grandchildren, Alex, Jacob, Angela and Shauna.

A memorial service will begin at 3 p.m. Sunday, Stoess Funeral Home, Crestwood. Visitation with the family will be after the service until 6 p.m. Cremation was chosen. Burial will be private.
