William C. Carter, Jr., "Willie", 76, husband to Elfriede Hacker Carter, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Friday December 12, 2014. He was born to the late William C., Sr. and Mary G. Dodds Carter in Louisville on September 26, 1938.
He is also preceded in death by brothers; James and Paul Carter.
Willie retired from LGE as a construction supervisor, was a charter member of Midniters A.C., and he was inducted to the Softball Hall of Fame in 1987.
Besides his wife of 54 years, he is survived by their children; Buddy (Vicky) and Christy Carter; 5 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren along with siblings; David L. Carter (Marilyn) and Marilyn Keenan.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to Hosparus, P. O. Box 35425, Louisville, KY 40232-9892.
