Sharber, Aimee (Crunk) View/Sign Guest Book SHARBER, AIMEE (CRUNK), 90, of Louisville went to be with the Lord Thursday, April 24, 2008. She was a native of Christian County, KY and a retired Kroger employee where she worked for 29 years and made lasting friends. Aimee spent her life serving God. She worked with children in Sunday school and other organizations for over 65 years. She worked in the Children's department at Ninth & O Baptist Church for over 30 years, then at Fruit Hill Baptist Church in Christian County for 15 years. She was the telephone contact person for her Sunday School class at Carlisle Ave. Baptist Church and also her Mission group. At the time of her death she was a member of Shively Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Claude; a grandson, Kevin Loy Sharber; a granddaughter, Shelia Birkhead; two great-grandchildren, Macy and Charlie Sharber; and four brothers and sisters. She was dearly loved and will be missed by her seven children, Nella Howell, Martha Sirles (Urb), Mary Birkhead (Bob), Al Sharber (Shirley), Paul Sharber, Jim Sharber (Diana) and Lee Sharber (Janet); one sister, Verla McKinney; 21 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and one great-great- grandchild. Funeral service: 1 p.m. Monday at Shively Baptist Church, 1599 Sadie Lane, with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation: 11 a.m.- 8 p.m. Sunday at Nunnelley Funeral Home, 4327 Taylor Blvd., and after 11 a.m. Monday at her church. Because of her love for spreading God's love around the world, expressions of sympathy may go to either Shively Baptist Church or Ninth & O Baptist Church designated for "missions."
