He was a native of Portsmouth, OH, a former owner of the Henson-Wright Refrigeration, a member of Ralph Avenue Baptist Church, and an Navy veteran of World War II.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Henson.
He is survived by several nieces and nephews and a cousin, Lloyd Payne who cared for him.
A celebration of Mr. Henson's life will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Southern Home of Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 3601 Taylor Blvd. with burial to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Monday.
