Allen Lykins

Lykins, Allen Bruce "Boots" View/Sign Guest Book LYKINS, ALLEN BRUCE "BOOTS," 73, of Louisville, went home to be with his Lord on Friday, July 13, 2007 at the Norton Pavilion Hospice Unit. He was a retired operator for the old K & I Railroad (Norfolk), an Army and Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War, and a member of the old Beth Haven Baptist Church (now Grace Tabernacle). He had previously been a football coach for Valley Olympics from 1967-1972, for Beth Haven Christian School from 1973-2000, and for Valley Youth from 2002-2006. He is survived by his loving wife, the former Margie Arms; two sons, Steve (Nita) and Ricky (Donna) Lykins; a daughter, Shari (Ted) Knapp; two sisters, Jean Kaufman and Carolyn Jones; eleven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. His funeral service will be held at noon Monday at the Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie Hwy., with burial at Louisville Memorial Gardens West Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Sunday and after 9 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Beth Haven Christian School Athletic Fund.
