Alton Miller

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Alton Miller MILLER, ALTON, 96, died Sunday, October 7, 2007 at Crestview Health Care Center in Shelbyville, KY. A native of Hindman, KY, Mr. Miller was a retired crane operator for the Morrison Conklin, Ruby and Ambrosia Construction Companies. He was a member of the Henderson Local No. 181 of the International Union of Operators and Engineers, and served as a volunteer for the Multi-Purpose Community Action Agency serving Shelby, Spencer and Bullitt Counties. Alton Miller is survived by his wife, Carolyn Bryant Miller of Simpsonville; two sons, Glen Miller of Shelbyville and Wendell Ray Miller of Taylorsville, KY; two daughters, Carole Jean Ballard of Louisville and Joan Matherly of Crossville, TN; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday at Hall- Taylor Funeral Home of Shelbyville with Reverend Jim Pound and Reverend William Dale Matherly officiating. Interment will follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens East. Visitation will be from 1-9 p.m. Tuesday at Hall-Taylor Funeral Home, Shelbyville.
