STOWERS, ANNA SHIRLENE (WHALIN), 80, passed away Saturday June 7 , 2014 at IU Hospital Bedford.
Born in Butler Co. she was a retired head teller for the old Bank of Louisville , also work at Churchill Downs and was a member of Shively Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband William O. Stowers.
Survivors include her three children, Steven Stowers (Gwen), Tim Stowers (Karen) and Laura Stowers; brother Jerry Whalin (Joyce); six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Her funeral will be Tuesday, 11 a.m. at Shively Baptist Church, 1599 Sadie Lane, with burial at Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation: Tuesday, 10 a.m. at her church. Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Hwy., is in charge of arrangements The family request expressions to be made to Race Track Ministries Backside of Churchill Downs South 4th St, Gate 5.
