Anthony W. French went by Tony. He was an Air Force Vietnam Purple Heart Disabled Vet. He passed away on October 4, 2024 after battling cancer for many years. He was born on March 25, 1947, in Louisville, Kentucky. Survived by his wife, Janet French; his stepson, Ted Hambrick, his daughter-in-law, Cindy Hambrick, granddaughter, Tiffany Hambrick, and great-granddaughter, Claire Furman, who all loved him very much. His brother was David French from Tennessee, sisters, Nancy Harris, and Tina Jones, and Jordan and Ronnie Twigg, nephews of Shannon Twigg, his deceased sister Shannon Twigg, and deceased parents, John and Katherine Piercy French. 

Tony was a security guard for many years. He attended U of L. He loved sports, old movies, and being with his family. 

Services will be held at 2 PM on Friday, October 11, 2024, at Louisville Memorial Gardens West Funeral Home, 4400 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, Kentucky. Visitation will be held from 12 PM to 2 PM at the funeral home, prior to the service.
