Barry Edwards

EDWARDS, BARRY "DEAN," 67, of Union KY, formerly of Louisville, went to be with his heavenly father, Wednesday, October 20th, 2010.

He was born in Monticello, IL, October 14th, 1943. He spent most of his working life as manager and sales representative for paint and wallpaper companies. He had a passion for his hobbies. He loved to sing, play the guitar, and was an accomplished self-taught piano player. He wrote, sang, and recorded many songs. He was an avid tennis player and golfer. He spent a good portion of his latter years involved in Cincinnati charities. His biggest passion was his love for the Kentucky Wildcats.

He is preceded in death by his parents Victor and Ruth Eleanor Edwards.

He leaves to cherish his memory, daughters, Kimberly Jean Owen (Greg); Deanna "Shawn" Fick (Steven); son, Barry Dean Edwards II; brothers, Bill Edwards (Joan); Jerry Edwards (Marie); sisters, Vicki Dobson (Dana), and Deborah Edwards; grandchildren, Jessica, Matthew, Rachel, Whitney, and Taylor; several nieces and nephews, and many friends.

A memorial celebration will be 2:30 p.m. on Monday, October 25th at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 9616 Westport Road. Louisville, KY. The family invites you to visit and share in a meal immediately following the memorial service in the fellowship hall. A private burial will be held at Louisville Memorial Gardens East.
