Bessie West Cantrell Share E-mail Visit Guest Book CANTRELL, BESSIE WEST, 92, passed away Monday, November 30, 2009 at Summerfield Healthcare Center.
She was born in Hart County, KY to Berks and Josie Pearl (Kinney) West. She was a homemaker and a member of Shively Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Rolva Newton Cantrell; a brother; and two sisters.
Survivors include her children, Barbara Koch (Thomas) and Carl Cantrell (Gaynelle); two grandchildren, Cathie Rivera (Rick) and Rachelle Conder (Stephen); seven great-grandchildren, Brandon, Amanda, Brian, Mikayla, Austin, Hunter and Jordan; and 1 great-great granddaughter; and a "special nephew" Mitchell Cooper (Barbara).
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy., with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Wednesday.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Salvation Army.
