Bessie Hornback

Hornback, Bessie Marie (Spillman) ,84, passed away Friday December 19, 2014 at Christian Health Center.She was born in Louisville to William Chester & Virginia (Ladusaw) Spillman.Bessie was retired from the Human Resources Dept. at Philip Morris Corp., with 18 years service. Bessie was a member of the Kentuckiana Daisy Clowns, she was "BB" the clown and was a former member of Heavenly Heights Christian Church.She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband of 49 years, Robert E. Hornback Sr.; and a daughter, Susan Lynn Hornback.Survivors include her sons, Thomas D. Hornback (Lynnetta) and Robert E. Hornback Jr. (Joy); five grandchildren, Jason, Jennifer, Justin and Lauren Hornback and Sean Johnson; five great-grandchildren, Caden, Ireland, Mina, Jacob and Jonah. Also surviving is her special friend, John Strother.Funeral swill be held 1p.m. Tuesday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy., with burial to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
