SHUPE, BESSIE MAE, 88, passed away Thursday, July 19, 2012 at Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital.

Bessie is preceded in death by her daughter, Marsha Tucker.

Survivors include her four children, Jerry Dozier (Becky), Patricia Jones (Allen), Don Shupe (Linda), and Mike Crank (Vivian); 16 granchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

Bessie chose cremation with entombment to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens, West. Service will be held at a later date.

With all our appreciation and gratitude, we would like to thank Essex Nursing Rehabilitation Center and the nursing and chaplin staff at Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital for their wonderful care and compassion they showed to Bessie and our family.

Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway was in charge of arrangements.
