FENTRESS, BETTY J. (HOPPER), 81, passed away Sunday, October 7, 2012 at Sts. Mary and Elizabeth Hospital.

She was a teacher's assistant for the JCPS and a member of the Eastern Star Chapter #154 Southern Star and Hazelwood Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband, James.

Survivors include her three children: Roger Lee Fentress (Camilia), Pamela Ledbetter (Tim) and Terry Wayne Fentress; 10 grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; one brother, Jackie Hooper; and one sister Margaret Bandy.

Her funeral will be noon Friday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy, with burial at Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be noon to 8 p.m. on Thursday.

In lieu of flowers the family request that expressions be made to the American Cancer Society.
