Betty Lou Roby

Betty L. Roby, 86, entered into Eternal rest on May 1, 2024

She was the daughter of Herschel and Verna Emmett and a native of Barren County, a retired owner of Dealers Auto Sales, a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and a Baptist.

She was preceded in death by her son, Ernest Jr., her husband Ernest, her great- grandson Matthew and sister Nell Jones.

She is survived by her Daughter Linda Roby Schneider (husband Mike); Grandchildren: Lauren Schneider, Leslie Schneider Bradley and Christopher Schneider (wife Elizabeth); Great Grandchildren: Morgan, Emma, Colton, Addison, Olivia and Natalie.  She also leaves behind her two sisters, Maureen Cassidy (Charles), Diana Cissell (Philip) and brother William Emmett (Kathy), and many nieces and nephews.

Betty was a pillar of strength and courage for her family. A doting “Nan” to her grandchildren and a loving “Granny” to her great grandchildren, the loss of Betty leaves a void in the hearts of all who loved her and she will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her unwavering love, strength and commitment to her family.

Today as we say goodbye to Betty, let us not mourn her departure.  Instead, let us celebrate her life and the profound impact she had on each of us.  As we honor her memory, let us remember all the lessons she taught us: to love unconditionally, to embrace this life with the circumstances that you are given and to always trust in Our Lord Jesus Christ to get you through, no matter what.
