Betty J. Rhodes ShareE-mail Visit Guest Book RHODES, BETTY J., 72, passed away Sunday, May 17, 2009 at Norton Audubon Hospital. Her faith was the Church of God. Since she was a young girl she was a witness for Jesus Christ to everyone. He was her Lord and Savior and through him she had eternal life. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Viola Mae Stinnett; and her sister, Marcella McCune (Lowell). She is survived by her husband, Jack Rhodes; a son, Larry Duvall, a daughter, Carrie Duvall Smithson (Dennis); brothers, Donnie (Christine), Kenney (Nancy), Ronnie (Carol), David (Betty) and Bobby Stinnett; sisters, Shirley Marrinan, Barbara McCauley (Jerry), Linda James (Ronnie), Connie Summers (Rick), Wanda Dorton (Junior), Kathy Stinnett, Wilma Rogerson (Gilbert), and her baby sister, Bonnie; grandchildren, Gary Duvall (Brandy) and Dustin Duvall and Lacy Wathen (Justin); her four best friends, Mildred Blankenship, Margie Cummings, Sally Kessinger and Sherry Ford; great-grandchildren, Tiffany, Joseph, Montgomery, Wyatt and Kambria; 83 nieces and nephews. The funeral is 11 a.m. Thursday at J. E. Ratterman & Son, 7336 Southside Drive, with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Wednesday.
