INMAN, BETTYE LUCILLE (VAN METER), 81, passed away Tuesday January 10, 2012, at her residence.
She was born in Hardin County, KY to Omar Wise and Ida Belle (Cecil) Van Meter.
Bettye, along with her husband, operated James Fruit Market for years and she was a self-employed beautician.
She was a member of Canton Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 52 years, James W. Inman; a son, Danny Garwood; and two daughters, Patricia Goodgine and Debbie Inman; a brother, J.O. Van Meter.
Survivors include four daughters, Brenda (Mike), Sandra (Dunny), Pamela and Denise (Bobby); 17 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one brother: Earl Van Meter.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Monday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy., with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. on Sunday.
