Born in Louisville, she was the former Bettye Dukes, a graduate of Atherton High School, a homemaker, and a longtime member of Southeast Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry L. Wood.
She is survived by her daughter, Sherry Lee (Ed); sisters, Raynell Bard of Oklahoma and Lois Phelps; grandchildren, Millie Alexander and Andy Wood; and great-grandchildren, Randall, Kendall, Kacey and LeAnn.
Her graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be from 11 am-12:45 p.m. Tuesday at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Lung Association.
