MILLER, JACOB HOLLOWAY, born October 7, 1923, to Odie and Ida May of Fairdale, passed away Sunday, October 7, 2007 from a battle with cancer. He served in the U.S. Army as a tank commander in World War II. Mr. Miller was a founding member of the Local Chapter of the Fraternal Order of Police and retired in 1978 from the Jefferson County Police Dept. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 942, Scottish Rite and Shrine of Louisville and Keys Ferry Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Ina Marie; daughter, Donna; grandsons, Joe and Greg Morris; and great-grandsons, Thurston and Jacob. The funeral will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy with interment to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday and 1-8 p.m. Tuesday.
