SIPES, BILLY JOE, 70, of Louisville, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 13, 2012.
B.J. was born in Caneyville, KY the son of the late Kathleen Roberts and H.T. Sipes. He was a graduate of the University of Louisville and became a financial advisor. Later he became president of B & W Specialty House and Advertising. Among B.J.'s many accomplishments he was a member of the Board of Directors for the Kentucky Derby Festival and former Campaign Chairman for Kosair Charities.
B.J. is survived by his daughters, Lauren S. Peege (Dave) and Susan Grimes (Doug); grandchildren, Michael and Christopher Peege, Katie, Beth and Sarah Grimes.
His funeral service will be 1 p.m. Monday, January 16, 2012, with visitation from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at Highlands Family-Owned Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road. Burial will be at Louisville Memorial Gardens West following the service.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Diabetes Association or Fellowship Bible Church Building Fund, 1921
