Billye Dolores Jackson

Billye Dolores (Brookshire, Wilson) Jackson, passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2023, in Louisville, Kentucky.  She was born on May 10, 1935, in Victoria, Texas.

Billye was a graduate of Dupont Manual High School, class of 1953.  She was an avid genealogy researcher and a member of the National  Society of Colonial Dames of the 17th Century, Daughters of the American Revolution, Daughters of the Republic of Texas, and past member of both the Guadalupe Victoria and the Salt River Daughters of the American  Revolution chapters.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John William and Christine (Bridewell) Cleveland; her brothers, James William Cleveland and Donald Byron Robinson; and her sister, Joyce Louise (Cleveland) Tharpe.

She is survived by her husband, Golden C. "Joe" Jackson; her sister, Charlotte Glance; her daughters, Brenda J. (Brookshire) Owens, Charlene Hieatt (Joe Hieatt, Sr.) and Darlene Jackson; her sons, Steven Brookshire (Lois), Alan Wilson (Irene), Jeffrey Jackson and Larry Jackson (Geri); along with many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be at Noon on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at Louisville Memorial Gardens Cemetery West, 4400 Dixie Highway.
