CASLOWE, BLANCHE HARDING, 94, of Louisville passed away Friday, December 16, 2011 at Baptist Hospital East with her family by her side.

She was born on July 6, 1917 in Akron, OH. She was fondly known as Nan to everyone. She was a retired Jefferson County Public School teacher with 38 years of devoted service at Auburndale and Kenwood elementaries, a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, a member of the Kentucky Retired Teachers association, and a graduate of Nazareth College. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother, and will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Victor Caslowe; three sisters and five brothers.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Janie Caslowe; loving granddaughter, Kristen Caslowe, several nieces and nephews, and her faithful pups Pepper, Bruiser, and Lola.

Her funeral Mass will be noon Monday, December 19, 2011 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 7813 Shelbyville Road, with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Sunday December 18, 2011 at Pearson Ratterman Brothers Funeral Home, 12900 Shelbyville Road. A prayer service will be held at 4 p.m.
