HERNDON, BOBBY RAY, 79, passed away Monday, July 7, 2014 at Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital.
He was the former owner of Herndon Trucking and Oil and a retired boiler operator for Brown & Williamson. He was a member of Valley Masonic Lodge, the Scottish Rite, and South Jefferson Baptist Church.
Bobby was preceded in death by his wife Betty Herndon, three siblings, and a great-grandson, James Harrington.
Survivors include his daughters Sharon Shively and Karen Creamer; sister, Eva Gray Orr; brother, Max Herndon; grandchildren, April Shively-Harrington, Catherine Shively-Hesselbach, and Erin Creamer; two great-grandsons; and his beloved friend, Lois Davis.
His funeral service will be held at 10 am Friday at Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie Hwy, followed by entombment at Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be from 4-8 pm Wednesday and 11a.m.-8p.m. Thursday.
