Bobby "Bob" Bottomley

Bobby "Bob" D. Bottomley, 80, loving husband to Barbara (Hoover) Bottomley, passed away on Saturday March 30, 2019 at Baptist Health.  He was born to the late Esthel  and Linnie (Edwards) Bottomley in Galax, Virginia. He is also preceded in death by an infant son, Bobby, Jr. Bottomley, an infant daughter, Caroline Bottomley,  sister, Lena and two brothers, Keith and Clyde.

Bob was a real estate agent, a retired supervisor for Rohm Haas, and later he worked as a bus driver for JCPS for handicap students.  He was an Army veteran and received a Kentucky Colonel award. Bob loved traveling, fishing, boating, especially camping  and he was an avid UK fan!!  But most of all he loved watching his grandkids play baseball, softball, soccer, and T-Ball.

Besides his wife of 36 years, he is survived by children, Sandy Steiner, William Bottomley (Donna), Sheila Singer (Kevin), Theresa Glass (Dean), and a sister Jean Amburn.  He will also be missed by grandchildren, Jeremie, Tyler, Jacob, Joel, Brianna, Cameron, and Savannah along with a great-granddaughter Shelby.

Funeral services will be Friday at 1:00 pm at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 4400 Dixie Highway.  Visitation will be Friday from 10:00 am until time of service.
