STILL, BOYCE LONDON, 87, passed away peacefully Thursday, June 21, 2012.
He was born in Woodburn, KY to Josh and Della (Young) Still.
Boyce was a retired maintenance man for the V.A. Medical Center with 37 years service and had been a deliveryman for Cox's Pharmacy for 17 years after his retirement. He was a World War II Army veteran, having served with Patton's 3rd Army in Normandy, Northern France, Ardennes, Rhineland, and Central Europe. He was a faithful member of Shively Baptist Church, where he served as deacon.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife of 55 years, Jessie Justine (Stamm) Still; a brother, Roy Clark; and a sister, Dorothy Jent.
Survivors include his daughter, Cathy S. Cheatham (Steve); three grandchildren, Andrea Gatterdam (Todd), Alison Phillips (Josh), and Alex Cheatham; and one sister, Joyce Rafferty (Harold); and several nieces and nephews. Also surviving, his loving companion and friend, Jeannie DeSpain.
Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m. Monday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy., with burial to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be Sunday 1-8 p.m.
