Brenda Swope

Brenda J. “Benna” Swope, 64, passed away on Friday, November 08, 2019, at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, Indiana.  Brenda was born in Louisville on June 12, 1955, to Eugene O. Swope, Sr. and the late Patricia Elaine (Whelan) Swope.  Brenda was also preceded in death by brothers, Eugene O. Swope, Jr. and Donald Paul Swope.

Brenda had a passion for helping others and was known as a “mother to all”, but most of all she loved taking care of her dad.  She had a passion for American Sign Language and taught classes at several local Christian schools in the community and was a member of Life Bridge Christian Church.

Brenda leaves behind to cherish her memory, her father, Eugene O. Swope Sr., sisters, Linda Neal (Gary), Pamela Cooley, Tammy Short (Steve), Patty Cox (Dannie), Kathy Brooks (Tony), along with 27 nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, November 15, 2019 at 12:00pm at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 4400 Dixie Highway. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2:00 to 8:00 at the funeral home.
