FINNELL, BUDDY JAY, went to be with our Heavenly Father on February 6, 2013 surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on October 1, 1941.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Virginia Lee Finnell and Jay Lee Finnell.
He retired from Zoller Pump in 2007. He drove a truck for 26 years and a car salesman for Craig & Landreth Cars for 15 years.
He was a Mason, Valley Lodge #511, Scottish Rite and a Shriner. Bud was a Deacon at Ridge Wood Baptist Church and a volunteer Deputy Sheriff from 1995-1998. He married his high school sweetheart Carol Vertrees in 1959.
He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Carol Finnell; his three children, Stacey McGhee (Terry), Scott Finnell and Ginger Richardson (Gene); a multitude of aunts, uncles, and cousins; five grandchildren, Bryan Johnson, Brent Stahr, Kayla Finnell, Alexa Finnell and Savannah Richardson; two great-grandchildren, Gabriel Johnson and Madison McAllister; and his loving puppy "Mia".
Bud was a loyal member of Alcoholics Anonymous for 24 years.
Visitation: Friday, February 8, 2013, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday, February 9, 2013, 9 a.m. with service at 10 a.m. at Keenan's Funeral Home, 4724 Dixie Highway, at Rockford Lane. Interment: Louisville Memorial Gardens West In his memory donations can be made to Blair's Equine Horse Rescue or any animal Rescue.
