Carl Edward Markwell ShareE-mail Visit Guest Book MARKWELL, CARL EDWARD, 77, passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2009. He was a retired employee of Reynolds Metals, where he worked for 20 years, a member of the American Legion Post 220, and attended Greenwood United Baptist Church for over 25 years. He was preceded in death by his children, Anthony A. and Debra Lea; and his brother, Wm. Kenneth Markwell Jr. Survivors include his wife, Nell Childers Markwell; his children, George Markwell, Kenneth, Mark and Danny Stewart; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and his sisters, Laura Davis and Betty Jean Markwell. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday at Greenwood United Baptist Church, 8710 Thompson Lane with private burial. Visitation will be 2 -8 p.m. Sunday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy.
