SEILER, CARL JOSEPH, 83, passed away peacefully at his home Sunday, December 9, 2012.
He was a retired systems project manager for Brown and Williamson Tobacco Corporation for 38 years and, an Army officer and veteran of the Korean conflict. He loved U of L sports, Kentucky Horse Racing and celebrating The Derby with his family. He was a founding member of the old St. Polycarp Catholic Church and was proud to be a graduate from St. Columba School, Flaget High School Class of 1947 and Xavier University.
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, the former Inez Sue Pino; sons, Michael A. (Carla), Jay L. (Martha), Jeff M., and Glen J. (Tiffany) Seiler; daughters, Christina M. DePass (David) and Karen S. Wheatley (Larry); six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
His funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, 5431 Johnsontown. Burial will be at Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be Tuesday, 3-7 p.m. at Ratterman Grand Chapels, 4832 Cane Run Road.
