Gowen, Carlson R. "Snooks" View/Sign Guest Book GOWEN, CARLSON R. "SNOOKS," 76, passed away November 4, 2008 at Norton Audubon Hospital. He was a former employee of Fawcett Printing Company, owner of Gowen's Truck Wash, a member of the Sunset Masonic Lodge (Shively), and he attended Southside Baptist Church. He is survived by his devoted wife of 55 years, Edith Gowen; two children, Danny Gowen (Sherry) and Charlotte Van Meter; grandchildren, Ryan Edlin and Miranda Hale; great-granddaughter, Alaina Edlin; stepgrandchildren, Lindsey and Savannah Van Meter; brother, Jesse Gowen (Marian); family friend, Gertie Kepley; and several nieces and nephews. His service will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway, with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be 1-9 p.m. Friday and after 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
