PARSONS, CARLYSLE, 90, passed away on Tuesday, January 8, 2008, at Baptist East Hospital. He was a member of St. Matthews Baptist Church, where he was a Sunday school teacher and deacon. He retired as a parts manager of the old V.V. Cooke Chevrolet, after 30 years of service. He was preceded in death by his wives, Mattylee Sumner Parsons and Eva Mitchell Parsons; and a son, Eddie Parsons. He is survived by a son, Michael Parsons (Sharon), of Henderson, KY; daughter-in-law, Janice Parsons, of Lexington, KY; daughters, Priscilla "Penny" Hartung (William), of Frankfort, KY and Willa Johnson, of Crestwood, KY; sisters, Lola M. Cook and Alton Milan, both of Louisville; grandchildren, Tina Parsons, Michael S. Parsons Jr., Wesley C. Parsons, Debbie Cheatham, Tina Howard, David Hartung, Betty Coyle and Rob Johnson; and 15 great- grandchildren. Funeral service will be held noon Friday at Pearson's, 149 Breckenridge Lane, with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens East. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday.
