Carolyn Britz

Britz, Carolyn Marie (Vessels),63, passed away April 10, 2015 at her home, with her family at her side.She was born to Heavrin and Maria (Wimmer) Vessels. Carolyn was a retired teacher with the Catholic School System, and JCPS School System for a total of 40 years.She is survived by her husband, William C. Britz; two sons, Jason (Kelly) and Steven (Nichelle) Britz; her sister, Anita Thornton (Fred); two grandchildren, Ryan, and Riley; a special nephew, John (Lisa) Thornton, their children, John, Daniel, and Levi. Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church, 6901 Dixie Hwy. Visitation is Monday, 2-8 p.m. at Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Hwy. Burial will be in Louisville Memorial Gardens West.Expressions of sympathy may be made to Esophageal Cancer Research.
