Carolyn June Higdon ShareE-mail Visit Guest Book HIGDON, CAROLYN JUNE, of Louisville passed away Monday, May 25, 2009 at Sts. Mary and Elizabeth Hospital. She was the former Carolyn Vertrees and was a former member of St. Clement Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Higdon; daughter, Mary Briscoe; and great-granddaughter, Brianna Livojevich. Her family includes her son, Chris Higdon (Lorna); daughters, Donna McCracken (Mark), Kendra Chancey (Dennis), Debbie Nail (John), Brenda Jarboe (Brian); 14 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren with two on the way; one great-great grandson; brothers, Carl, Donald, George and Andy Vertrees; and sisters, Gilberta Burris, Barbara Hicks, Ellen Adinolfi, Liz Hoyland, and Becky Damron. The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy., with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens, West. Visitation is 1-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
