MATAUSCH, CAROLYN (CAROL LEE), 80, of Louisville, passed on Thursday, May 12, 2011 at the Golden Living Center, St. Matthews after a long battle with Parkinson Disease.
She danced with the Rockettes, and also performed with Ringling Brothers Circus where she met her husband, Alfred. She taught dance at Carol Lee's School of Dance for 43 years; was an avid gardener and bird watcher.
She is survived by her daughters, Gail Friedberg (Howard), Karen Stonebraker (John); her grandchildren, Karanina Henderson (Matthew), Rebecca and Sara Friedberg and Great-grandchildren, Azalea and Asa Henderson.
Her funeral service will be 10 a.m. Monday at J. B. Ratterman & Sons-Grand Chapels, 4832 Cane Run Road, with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West Cemetery. Visitation will be 1-6 p.m. Sunday.
