Carolyn Prewitt

PREWITT, CAROLYN (MONKS), 74, went home to her Lord, Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at her residence. She was born in Louisville, KY to Arthur G. and Mary (Langley) Monks. Carolyn was a homemaker and a member of Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church, St. Denis Campus for over 40 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of 32 years, Gary A. Prewitt; and a brother, Donald Monks. Survivors include her son, Terry Prewitt (Glenda); two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ronald Monks (Shirley) and Arthur Monks Jr. (Donna); a sister-in-law, Pat Monks; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be noon on Monday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy., with burial to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Sunday.
