Catherine Marie Blankenship ShareE-mail Visit Guest Book BLANKENSHIP, CATHERINE MARIE, 78, was called home by our Lord on Monday, May 11, 2009 at Norton Hospital. She was the former Catherine Tucker, a native of Russell County, KY, a former employee of Coca-Cola, a member of Southside Baptist Church, and a wonderful, loving mother and homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Carlie Ray Blankenship Sr.; her parents, Roe and Eva Tucker; and her brother, Doyle Tucker. She is survived by her son, Carlie Blankenship Jr. (Debbie); daughters, Lisa Blankenship and Linda Parrish (Ron); grandchildren, Steven Blankenship (Sharon), Michelle Potts, and Savannah Parrish; two great-granddaughters, Rachel and Rebecca Potts; her brothers, Donnie, Kinzell and Ronnie Tucker; sisters, Rita Withers, Radine Martin and Jackie Nation; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Carson and Shirley Blankenship, Charlie Blankenship, Myrtle "Ann" Robinson; and a host of other friends and loved ones. A celebration of Mrs. Blankenship's life will be held 2 p.m. Friday at the Southern Home of Arch L. Heady & Son, 3601 Taylor Blvd., with burial to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Thursday and after noon Friday.
