Carter, Cecil E. "Snooky" View/Sign Guest Book CARTER, CECIL E. "SNOOKY," 88, of New Albany, passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2008, at the VA Medical Center. He was a retired truck driver for Teamsters Local 89, a member of Calvary Christian Center, and an Army veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby P. Carter. Survivors include a daughter, Betty Jones; three grandchildren, Nat Stewart, Seth Stewart and Dani Haas; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. His funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at Calvary Christian Center, 10710 Taylorsville Road, followed by burial at Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be held 4-8 p.m. Thursday and Friday at Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie Highway.
