Chambers, Chalmer "Cherry" View/Sign Guest Book CHAMBERS, CHALMER "CHERRY", 96, passed away February 3, 2009 at Jefferson Manor. He was a member of Shawnee Christian Church, a World War II Navy veteran, and worked for the Consolidated Biscuit Company, Donaldson Baking Company, and Olin Mathieson Company. He is preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Mary Agnes Oerther. He is survived by his three daughters, Alex Rohleder (Paul Fridell), Gretchen Williams (Tom), and Cherry Laney (Michael); grandchildren, Leslie Kenney, Lisa Rohleder, Doug Rohleder, Scott Williams, Kelly Roth, Tim Laney, and Brad Laney; great-grandchildren, Tyler Dixon, Kaitlyn and Lainey Williams, Kasey and Claire Rohleder, Taylor Johnson-French, Brennen and Aidan Laney; sisters, Eula Carter and Cora Clinkenbeard and a very dear and close friend, Mary Jane Wortham. His service will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Shawnee Christian Church, 1520 Gagel Ave with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens, West. Visitation will be noon - 8 p.m. on Friday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway and after 9 a.m. on Saturday at Shawnee Christian Church. Expressions of sympathy can be made to Cedar Lake Lodge.
