He was a native of Alabama and a retired mechanic for Ike's Auto Service. Survivors include his wife, Mary Obermiller Smith; daughter, Stephanie Smith; brother, Tommy Smith; sisters, Shirley Long and Sandra Hall; one grandchild, Amber Nicole Hrinko; and six step-children. Funeral service is 10 a.m. Monday at Nunnelley Funeral Home, 4327 Taylor Blvd. with burial at Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation is noon - 8 p.m. Sunday.
