He was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church and retired in the shipping and receiving unit of the old Marley Company. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Hazel Hardin; and parents, Bennie Myrtle and Levert Leonard Hardin. He is survived by his wife, Gwendolyn E. (Gore); his children, Edna Bowman (Michael), Wanda Polley, and Charlene Connors; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. His funeral service will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Hwy., with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West on Monday. Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Saturday and after noon Sunday.
