HARDMAN, CHARLES JOSEPH JR., 73, formerly of Louisville, died February 26, 2011 at his home in Cape Coral, FL.
He was born January 26, 1938, in Louisville, the son of Charles Hardman Sr. and Ruby Neal Hardman.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Charles is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Evelyn Given Hardman; and two sons, Charles III (Tammy) of Smithfield, KY and Robert (Kelly) of Littleton, CO; and four grandchildren, Bailey, Ty, Caleb and Brooke Hardman. He is also survived by three brothers, Robert of Seattle, WA, George of Hiawassee, GA and James M. of Louisville; as well as four sisters, Mary Ann Baker of Boynton Beach, FL, Geri Wagner, Lori Nohalty and Sheri Yager, all of Louisville. Mr. Hardman graduated from Shawnee High School in 1956 and spent eight years in the U.S. Marine Corps. He formerly owned Econo Dry Cleaners on Indian Trail and A & W Restaurant on Dixie Hwy. He was also employed at Eaton Corp and Kentucky Kingdom. He will be remembered with love by family and friends.
A service celebrating the life of Charles will be noon Saturday at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 4400 Dixie Hwy. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
