HOPPER, CHARLES W. "CHARLIE," 101, passed away on June 26, 2011.
He was a retired employee of Dahlem Construction, a 53 year member of Shively Masonic Lodge and the Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna E. Hopper; and his son, James Howard Smith.
Survivors include his son, Kenneth Hopper (Ruby); grandchildren, Gregory Hopper (John), Sue Middleton (Rodney), James Daniel and David Allen Smith (Patricia); eight great-grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren; and one great-great-great grandson on the way.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway, with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. Wednesday. Condolences to owenfuneralhome.com.
