LOCKE, CHARLES HARLAN SR., 80, passed away on October 11, 2012 at Norton's Hospital after a brief illness.
Charlie was born September 5, 1932 in New Richmond, IN. He graduated from Flaget High School. He served in the United States Air Force 4004th Airbase Squadron Matagorda Island, TX. He retired from Mid America Auto Auction and was a 30-year retired railroader for L&N and CSX. He loved sports and especially Notre Dame. He enjoyed playing golf and vacationing at Sanibel Island, FL. He was a devout Catholic, longtime parishioner of the former St. Clement parish.
He was preceded in death by his wife Shirley Ann Hall. He is survived by his five children, Sandy Hall (Gary), Jennifer Fulkerson (Jim), Judeth Stewart, JoAnn Davis (Mount) and Charles Harlan Locke Jr.; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great- grandchildren.
Charlie's children would like to thank all of the wonderful caregivers and staff at TwinBrook Nursing Home who took such great care of our father.
Private family ceremony at Newcomer Funeral Home; no visitation. Internment is at Louisville Memorial Gardens on Friday.
