Charles Metcalf

Metcalf, Charles H. "Charlie",66, of Louisville, passed away on December 1, 2014. He retired from Brown-Forman after 42 years of service. He attended Highview Baptist Church, and he was a member of Service Employees International Union and National Conference of Firemen and Oilers. Charlie also was an avid fan of University of Kentucky athletics. Charlie was born on April 9, 1948 in Louisville, to the late Henry H. and Nellie E. Metcalf. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Albert Winkle. He is survived by his loving wife, Annette Ansert Metcalf; daughter, Christine Metcalf; two grandchildren, Hannah and Cole; and sister, Mary Watkins (David). Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home (10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville). A Funeral Ceremony to honor the life of Charles will be held Thursday at 11am at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
